How MediVox works
What is the difference between Basic and Advanced medical transhipment?
Advanced medical transcription builds on the basic functionality by using specialty-specific templates.
These templates contain structures and guidelines that allow the journal note to be adapted to the chosen specialty, providing a more precise and professionally relevant result for specialists.
How is transcription created?
Transcription is created by establishing a secure and encrypted connection from your microphone via your web browser to an AI-based service running in the cloud. Every time a word is recorded, it is immediately processed and prepared for the next step in the documentation process. With data stored in Norwegian data centers, we ensure that all information is handled in accordance with GDPR regulations and maintains the highest security standards.
How does transcription become documentation?
Once the pre-information is collected and the transcription is ready, the information is sent encrypted via API to an advanced AI service. Our system, trained on medical documentation, generates a complete journal note with all the details from the consultation. The document is available in an easy-to-use text editor for review and editing, before being easily copied into your medical system, saving time and ensuring seamless integration.
Why do I get such poor quality transcripts?
Very often, bad transcription comes from bad audio. It simply becomes too difficult for the microphone to capture the sound, leaving the AI unable to register what is being said.
If you experience poor quality of the transcription, we recommend that you try some measures:
Reduce background noise
Move the microphone closer
Try a different microphone
If this doesn't help, we recommend contacting customer service so that we can figure it out together.
Does Medivox support both physical and digital consultations?
Features. MediVox has built-in support for both physical and digital consultations.
How do you handle uncertain or incomplete information in the conversation?
MediVox is designed to highlight uncertainty, not hide it. If the system is unsure about certain words or phrases in the transcription, these are clearly marked in the text. This makes it easy for healthcare professionals to identify, check and, if necessary, correct the content before the journal entry is approved.
The documentation is always reviewed and quality assured by healthcare professionals.
Templates and specialties
What are custom templates and how are they used?
These are templates that are set up for your specialty. They make the journal entry more focused on your specialty and your investigations.
Can I customize the templates for my own practice?
Answer. For enterprise users, we can set up customized templates for each practice. This makes it easier to customize journal notes to your routines, while giving you a single price for your subscriptions.
Can I use MediVox with multiple specialties?
Right. When you create your user, you choose which specialties you want. This determines which templates you get access to.
You can select multiple specialties and you will then have access to the templates for all selected specialties.
The specialties can be changed at any time in the user profile, allowing you to add or remove specialties as needed.
