Letters module - write medical letters without searching in the medical record
As a doctor, you write many types of letters in the course of a week: referrals to specialists, discharge summaries after consultations, medical statements to NAV, applications for assistive technology and other medical documentation.
Documentation is an essential part of clinical work. Many healthcare professionals find that time spent on notes and correspondence can conflict with patient time and clinical focus - often putting you between the patient and the keyboard. Read more about this at Medivox.
Studies show that doctors and clinicians can use over a third of their working time on documentation and record keeping, including notes, correspondence and administrative tasks - and much of this can also take place outside normal working hours. Source: Nuance Report
To meet this challenge, we at Medivox have developed Letter modules - a tool that gives you a structured starting point for letters and correspondence, so you don't have to spend time searching through the journal for each task.
This is how it works
I Letter modules you can upload documents directly - for example, previous discharge summaries, lab results, notes or correspondence from other agencies. The module analyzes the content and puts together a first draft of the letter based on what you have entered.
You review the draft, adjust wording and check that all medical information is correct. The system suggests a draft you always have the last word and clinical control.
Once the text is ready, you can export it for printing, or copy it into your EHR or other medical record systems you use.
Why this matters to you
